This morning I recieved two packages (how awesome is it that they came on the same day?) from BYCers containing….. WINDCHILLS!! What I thought was cool was that one of them was addressed to “Project Windchill”, instead of Evelyn ****.

So I’m going to see if I can hand-deliver them, instead of just mailing.

Oh, and remember how I said three snowmen? Nope. FOUR.

And one BYCer didn’t even send a used one! She actually bought them on Ebay. O.O Too cool.

Anyway…… Have a happy New Year, everybody! I’ll update again as soon as the Windchills have made it to their new home.

On Craigslist, my mom found a post in the Wanted section, asking for a “Windchill” plushie snowman. The Craigslist OP has a friend with an Autistic son, and he loves these snowmen so much, they literally fall apart. We happened to have a Windchill, which I washed, and bleached, and washed again, and bleached again, until he looked (almost) new. So that makes one snowman.

But I then posted about this in the Backyard Chickens forum, (www.backyardchickens.com/forum ) saying how sad it is. Lo and behold, I recieved a message from another member, saying that THEY have a Windchill to send! At this point, I was madly in love with BYC, and people in general. So I sent them my address so they can send it to me, so I can send it to the family.

But guess what? I got ANOTHER message from a BYCer. This is the part where I started skipping and jumping up and down with excitment and glee. Pure glee, I tell you. So I sent them my address, so that- oh wait, I already typed this. Anyway.

Three snowmen. Can you see why I love people?

On my thread on said BYC forum,    http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=432236          somebody mentioned that they were waiting to hear back from a collector they know! Again, I love people. And ANOTHER member posted this on Facebook. Have I mentioned how much I love the human race? It bears repeating, don’tcha think?

I’ll keep you all updated on Project Windchill as much as I can. Anyway, BEST! CHRISTMAS!! EVERRRRRRR!!!!

Everyone played a nice, ”quiet”, dignified game of charades, and then…..

WHO WAS THAT MASKED MAN?!?! (Andrew & Joshua played the roles of Villain & Minion to perfection.)

There was a mysterious clue under the cake plate. Somthing about how we Cinderellas will never find our cake without a clue from the cobbler nearby… (Evelyn’s memory is failing her.)

Off to the shoe shop!! (Evelyn: Yay!! Shoes!!)

Everyone looked for the clue or cake or something.

Evelyn sadly knew everything (almost) about the party, so it took every ounce of her acting skills to pretend she knew nothing. She thinks she probably failed…

A crossword puzzle? Okaaaaaay….

The clue from the puzzle was ”Chocolate shop”, so, off to the chocolate shop we went!!

Everyone having tons of fun strutting down Main Street in their prom dresses, with Mary leading the pack.

Inside the chocolate shop, we were asked if we were here for roses.

Sarah: Unmm…. we’re here for CAKE!!

A mom: Well, you don’t have anything better to do, right?

Almost everyone recieved a chocolate rose. But what about Catharine and Elizabeth? :/

Ah-HA!! Inside Grace’s rose was… a clue?? (The lady at the chocolate shop worked wonders. She put the clue in a ziplock bag, then covered in in chocolate.)

The clue said something about ”….if chocolate is good, but not for two…” (Catharine & Elizabeth do not eat sugar.) And there was something about getting them a Dianthus…. thingummy.

Dianthus means flower, so off to the florist!!

Pick up materials or receive them in the mail.
Collect signatures from friends, family, co-workers, etc. (only Missouri registered voters can sign).
Return notarized petitions to the campaign office — the quicker the better so signatures can be tracked and totaled.
Watch as Missouri votes to make a historic and life-saving change for puppy mill dogs this November, in part due to your hard work.

OK, now just for fun, a picture of Elisa’s baby goat. Except she sold it. Funny story there… It was a boy, so they took it to the auction, and all the other bucklings were not even going for a dollar.  But then Elisa’s walked in, and everyone went, “Aaaww…..” And he went for $45! The lesson? Sell while they are tiny and cute!
